Our Place show review Im pretty much speechless... but ill try....
In a nut shell, the show was absolutely amazing!
During sound check i had the pleasure of checking out a glimpse of Pino on the drums.. That was far out, even though it was only a few minutes. As the norm he plays a very energetic, at times intense, bass.
1st set was fantabulous! Some new songs i havent heard them play, which is always a grate surprise. The song sequence was incredible..
The end of first set was Esau(which they need to play more often)
that flowed into China Cat, which flowed into a kick ass I Know You Rider!!!!!
Two thumbs up for that closing of the first set.
2nd set was straight up Kick Ass Jammin..
They ripped out some serious stuff. Totally on fire!!
Everyone sounded amazing. Vocals were Grate, drums were fantastically powerful, the keys were totally hot (i swear i saw smoke), and the guitars were out of this world.
As for Adam, he is seriously talented.. they all are...
I've been phriends with the guys for a year now, and i've been to almost every show within that time. From my perspective Adam is an incredible addition. His style is totally wild. When he begins to play it sometimes blows your mind as you watch him drift off into tangents of insane sounds...
You can see that energy feed into everyone, and it is an awesome sight, my phriends :!:
They are always sensational, even when THEY think they had a not so grate moment....
....they are their own worst critics...
They could play with broken strings, one drum stick and bretts pinky finger....
and their incredible dedication and passion will always shine through......
Kaptin Kevin was on the Kontrols, and always in control.. He is a grate guy. Smart, funny and everyones brother.... "whats up mein??"
Jason does not need any help whatsoever, however, we did miss the other drummer Pete.
Its very intense with them both..... always exciting.
The footage is awesome, but we had trouble with the audio in the 2nd set. I think there was too much bass for my recorder, as it was plugged into the sound board. I think if i bring my
EQ., we could do the adjusting ourselves.
I'm usually busy with getting peps signed on mailing lists, merch. sales and mingling with new fans. So if you go to the shows come see me for free glow sticks, stickers and the occasional complimentary cd or dvd.
It was an awesome night, good times, and no casio sightings...
Thanks again, to the kind buddies for the cd's they kindly gave us. :D

Well I have been going through the recordings all weekend and I gotta say. You were right. We played really well. I was hung up on forgetting lyrics and singing some weak harmonies, which I did. But musically this gig was smoking. Good stuff.
